Although I didn't grow up with a desire to BE anything specific, I have always had the desire to create, and with that, an intense curiosity and desire to soak in everything around me. Everything is a source of inspiration.
My love for old objects, letters, and photos feeds into my artwork, imbuing it with a sense of nostalgia, mystery, and strange familiarity. A lifelong reader and story lover, my images compell the viewer to create a narrative by the linking of seemingly disparate elements.
Always seeking adventure, I seem to find myself somewhere new every chance I get, but with the completion of my MFA in May 2011, I moved to Columbus, OH with my husband and dog, where we have started a garden—our first attempt at putting down roots! I graduated with my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Printmaking in 2007.
In my spare time, it's all about drawing, reading, writing, and making anything that takes my fancy! Later this summer I will be launching my online store Mixed Bag where you can purchase prints, originals, journals, bags, and other handmade items. Please subscribe to my blog to stay updated on all the happenings!
